This week heavyweight prospect Joe Joyce will take on former heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne as part of the James DeGale vs Chris Eubank Jr bill taking place in the UK.

It’s a decent card to be fair.

In terms of this heavyweight fight on it, it will certainly represent a step up for the big hitting Joyce (7-0-KO) compared to what he’s faced so far.

A short time ago at the fight week press conference some sort of confrontation took place where Stiverne was really incensed at Joyce’s manager in particular and snapped at him completely.

Unusual that a boxer snaps at a manager behind the scenes but something really must have got to him.

The following footage shows Stiverne going off verbally on the manager of Joe Joyce and having to be restrained by members of security:

The fights this weekend take place at the 02 Arena in London.

Joyce is 7-0 at the moment but already at the age of 33 he knows he doesn’t have that much time on his side in terms of padding his record or getting experience in the pro ranks.

He needs to be moved fast and he knows it.

Stiverne should pose some interesting questions at this stage of his career come Saturday night.
