Floyd Mayweather made a surprise visit this week to the Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis press conference ahead of his fight this weekend against Hugo Ruiz in a card in California that will see other Mayweather affiliated fighters partake on.
Only last year both Davis and Mayweather had a very public butting of heads and clash on social media but all those problems are now a thing of the past with Davis seemingly on good terms again with his boss at Mayweather Promotions.
Davis is thought to be one of the very best in the sport today pound for pound and Mayweather when asked about various things regarding himself this week was quick to dismiss reporters and instead ask the media to talk about his Davis and his own fighters, as well as thank many people who have helped him behind the scenes over the years.
Here’s the long speech where Mayweather got deep and gave Davis advice on various things in and out of the ring:
Mayweather fought in an exhibition bout last December 31st and has been linked to various fights this year including a Manny Pacquiao rematch.
The more as time goes on however the more it looks like Mayweather will stay retired and now focus more on promoting the next generation of his fighters at his promotional stable.
