Canelo Alvarez Shows Off Speed and Slick Pad Work Ahead Of Jacobs Fight

This week it was formally confirmed that Mexican boxing star Canelo Alvarez’ next fight will be against Danny Jacobs on May 4th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Canelo vacated his WBA ‘Regular’ title he won recently up at 168lbs against Rocky Fielding on his way back down to his normal weight class of middleweight where he defends multiple belts against Jacobs on Cinco De Mayo weekend.

Jacobs represents a tough test as a hardened, seasoned world class fighter and Canelo appears to be taking the challenge accordingly serious:

Some impressive speed and combinations there.

Canelo last year showed that he can take the fight to aggressive middleweights in the form of his rematch win over Gennady Golovkin and it will be interesting to see what kind of game plan he goes for against Jacobs.

Jacobs is a capable boxer himself as a former world champion and a fighter who can more than hold his own against any middleweight when it comes to toe to toe exchanges.
