Amir Khan Discusses Possible Pacquiao Fight Down The Line

UK boxing star Amir Khan is currently getting ready for his next big fight with Terence Crawford in the US later this year but still has his eyes on other big fights down the line.

One including against his old sparring stablemate Manny Pacquiao who recently defeated Adrien Broner in Las Vegas.

Speaking on the fight, Khan was very impressed with what he saw.

Speaking to EsNews, Khan said:

“Manny looked very good. Manny looked like his old self. He looked strong, he looked quick, he looked explosive. His timing was good. He looked like a fresh fighter like from five years ago when he used to fight.”

He added:

“I think Manny now deserves a big fight after this because he beat a very good fighter (in Broner).”

On prospects of facing Pacquiao before either boxer’s career is over, Khan added:

“The fight between myself and Manny Pacquiao would be huge. With him being Filipino and me being Pakistani with both our families being from Asia and both of us having big popularity and fan-bases in Asia — it would be huge.”

A fight between Khan and Pacquiao has long been talked about but for one reason or another it just never materialized.

Never say never though. Anything can happen in boxing as we know.

Both are still competing in the welterweight division and are involved in meaningful fights at the moment so don’t rule out a meeting between the two before either retires.
