Former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Lennox Lewis is perhaps one of the most respected fighters of his era.

A man that beat every boxer he stepped in the ring with as a professional (in that he avenged his losses) and beat the top fighters of his era in the form of Evander Holyfield and eventually, all be it at the end of his career, Mike Tyson.

Lewis’ ability to both box and fight when he needed to has earned him deserved respect but promoter to current heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, Eddie Hearn doesn’t seem to care much.

Comments from Lewis in the media this year haven’t been very flattering to fellow countryman Joshua at the same time either it should be pointed out for balance.

So much so that Hearn has lashed out at Lewis this week and told him to ‘f*** off mate’ in an interview with Danny Flexen of Seconds Out.

This has now prompted the following from Lewis:

Dear oh dear.

A comparison to promoter Don King will not likely go down too well with Eddie Hearn at all.

Expect this war or words to rage on for weeks to come.
