Kell Brook is now moving on from a possible fight with long time rival Amir Khan at least for the time being.
Earlier this week Khan formally announced that his next fight will be a challenge against WBO welterweight world champion Terence Crawford on April 20th.
The move split fan opinion with many UK fans left disappointed as well as both boxers’ promoter Eddie Hearn who had originally signed Khan last year on a three-fight deal for the sole purpose of finally getting the Brook fight on.
Here’s what the man himself has had to say to losing the fight today:
Khan mentioned this week that the difference in the money was around half a million dollars.
In terms of what he would have made more for fighting Brook.
All things considering, you can’t really blame Khan for taking on a pound for pound star and pursuing a world title really with Crawford.
One would hope the Brook fight is still there after April 20th however the Crawford fight transpires.
