Pound for pound boxing number one Vasyl Lomachenko had a year to remember once again in 2018 but already has his eyes set on his first challenge of 2019 as his next fight date and venue has now been pencilled in.

In an interview with Steve Kim, Lomachenko’s promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank Inc. has confirmed that the Ukraine boxing star will return in April in LA.

No news on the exact date and opponent just yet but expect it to be someone credible with everyone gunning for him at the moment.

The pound for pound boxing debate is always a subjective one but as 2019 starts out most outlets and journalists seem to have Lomachenko at least in their top 2 of all pound for pound boxers in the world today.

Lomachenko as well as being a double Olympic Gold medallist is also a multi-weight world champion as a pro (12-1-9KO).

Big fights out there this year for him could include the likes of Gervonta Davis of Mayweather Promotions.
