The Brutal Knockout That Won 2018 KO Of The Year

The end of year Ring Magazine awards for 2018 in boxing are in and overall — the list and winners were well received from fight fans for the most part.

Obviously there’s always going to be debate in any award ceremony.

Let alone one as passionately conversed as between fight fans but on the balance of things, Ring Magazine seemed to get things spot on to be fair this year.

The knockout of the year went to this absolute peach of a punch by world champ Inoue:

A really devastating shot for sure.

Payano was fine afterwards but for that moment in time — one of the most chilling knockouts this year.

There was many other contenders this year of course and a late mention must go to one that didn’t have time to get into the list at all in the form of Dillian Whyte’s knockout of Dereck Chisora last week.

No doubt 2019 promises plenty of more explosive knockouts that fight fans just can’t seem to get enough.
