Promoter of Anthony Joshua, Eddie Hearn has thrown a new spanner into the works this weekend when mentioning to Kugan Cassius that there could be two totally shock wild card opponents for Joshua come April 13th.
As of now that date is booked for Wembley stadium with Joshua and Hearn’s preferred choice being WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder pending what happens against Tyson Fury on December 1st.
Consensus thinks that if it’s not Wilder then it’s likely a Dillian Whyte rematch instead but then again, Whyte has to get passed Dereck Chisora in their own rematch on December 22nd in London.
As we know, anything can happen in heavyweight boxing.
But fans have put together an interesting debacle on social media about who these two wildcard opponents are – if indeed they do exist and Hearn is not toying with fans at this point:

Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if it was David Haye.
