Popular Manchester boxer Anthony Crolla secured another world title shot this weekend after a hard-fought battle on the Tony Bellew vs Oleksandr Usyk undercard.

Crolla won a unanimous points decision in front of his hometown fans against Daud Jordan to ensure he gets a crack at the world title next up as a mandatory challenger for pound for pound rated Vasyl Lomachenko.

After the fight his promoter Eddie Hearn that the fight would likely take place in the US for Crolla.

Following the bout Crolla had this message for his fans on social media:

A well earned shot at the title for one of the guys in boxing known to be one of the good guys.

A tremendous fighter and former world champion in his day, who does the basics unbelievably well – who’s to say he can’t go and win a world title again still aged just 31.
