It has now been confirmed by the WBO that they have suspended their former middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders for a period of 6 months.
The move came following a reported failed VADA test before a proposed recent contest in Boston against Demetrius Andrade which Saunders was forced to pull out of following been unable to obtain a boxing license.
He subsequently vacated his belt.
Following the decision of the World Boxing Organization here is what fans are saying so far:
any idea where BJS goes now? for me hes in the who needs him club with no big backers

Charlo may fight him. They both seem top level but need that big name win on their resume. A Charlo win would really put him up there and vice-versa.

You reap what you sow, substance aside I think he’s had to be forced to make mando’s more than once since he won that belt. BJS has always come across as someone who thinks he can do as he pleases, maybe he’ll learn now before he completely wastes his talent.
