For over a week or so now former world champion Kell Brook has been linked with a split with his trainer Dominic Ingle. He’s now taken time to respond to the speculation.
It seems there was no smoke without fire but at the same time, it appears that the split is only temporary as Brook set the record straight on Twitter:
A lot of speculation over the past week regarding my ‘training situation’ so I wanted to provide a direct update for you all: pic.twitter.com/dnOlGp38vm

There you have it.
It just seems like a temporary thing for his next fight due to scheduling issues around Dominic Ingle’s other fighters.
Brook will look to use his next fight on December 8th as a way to gradually bring his weight down towards the welterweight limit in the new year for a planned Amir Khan fight.
Brook has notoriously struggled to make 147lbs for many years but with the Khan fight finally in sight, one suspects he’ll do absolutely everything necessary to make the weight one last time at least when he does finally face Khan.
Brook’s opponent on December 8th is to be confirmed shortly but the bout will take place in his hometown of Sheffield.
