Rivals Gervonta Davis and Tevin Farmer look to be on an inevitable collision course after an impressive 8th round TKO win last night from IBF champion Farmer.
Farmer took out teak tough James Tennyson in impressive fashion in eight rounds.
Although that said, many commented after the fight that he was getting tagged too frequently compared to what he will be allowed to get away with against someone like Davis.
Davis at this time however is a while away from a return just yet with some weight to shed and also a promotional friction with Floyd Mayweather to iron out.
Speaking on Farmer after last night’s win Davis said if the fight happens:
I will try to break every bone in his body https://t.co/DPqSd64l1Y

He also simply laughed after the fight was over:

An offer from Eddie Hearn to stage the fight was reportedly turned down by Mayweather Promotions earlier this year.
On a brighter more recent note however there has been a more positive attitude towards the fight happening from the CEO of the company Leonard Ellerbe this week on social media who said it will happen.
