Former world boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi and former UFC champion Conor McGregor continue to exchange words well over a year after they first sparred.
Recently McGregor lost his UFC comeback to Khabib a year after he lost his sole professional boxing match against Floyd Mayweather.
Prior to the bout both he and Malignaggi had a well publicised falling out following sparring sessions that took place in Las Vegas.
Speaking to Michelle Phelps of Behind The Gloves, Malignaggi said of McGregor:
“He’s going to get the s*** beat out of him (if he rematches Khabib). The great thing about McGregor for his fans is he can sell himself well and they’ll buy into it but he prostitutes himself. Who wants to beat the s*** out of me? Pay me the most money and you get to beat me like a pinnate? I called him combat sports’ official pinnate because that’s what he is. You get to beat the s*** out of him and you get a nice prize after.”
After his recent loss in the UFC McGregor’s coach did intimate that a return to the sport of boxing in the future is not entirely out of the question.
So who knows, maybe McGregor vs Malignaggi happens one day.
