The two won’t be facing one another next up more than likely but a budding rivalry is definitely up and running based on some back and forth so far.

Garcia early on had Ghana knockout artist Richard Commey confirm on Twitter that he had signed his end of the deal to fight Garcia with just Garcia now left to sign.

Terence Crawford is just coming off a TKO win over Jose Benavidez Jr last weekend so he likely won’t be back out until the new year.

At any rate, a fight between Mikey Garcia and Terence Crawford is not on the immediate horizon but Crawford laughed off the alleged claim from Garcia in the meantime:

The two currently fight in different weights and for the fight to happen it would see Garcia needing to move up in weight with a possible size advantage going to Crawford.

That said, you could say the speed advantage would be Garcia’s and overall it would be a hell of a fight from two of not only America’s new undefeated boxing stars, but two of the top fighters worldwide in the sport today in terms of being in most people’s top ten pound for pound list.
