Former world champion turned commentator Paulie Malignaggi has been one of the more vocal from boxing against McGregor and the UFC since last weekend’s fight in Vegas.
Conor McGregor, one time professional boxer, ultimately was beaten in four rounds last weekend in Las Vegas against UFC champion Khabib but the fallout from the fight continues.
This largely stems from the brawls that ensued after the fight had ended where McGregor was seen throwing punches at a Khabib team member, Khabib himself jumped over the fence to go after one of McGregor’s coaches, which then prompted a team-mate of Khabib to also storm the cage and unload combinations on McGregor while he had his back turned to him.
McGregor was granted his fight purse from the NSAC after the fight but Khabib’s is still being withheld.
Khabib has now told the UFC he will never fight for them again if they fire his team-mate for his actions in the post fight melee last weekend.
Malignaggi has come out in support of his sentiments:
This man has more honor, character and balls than @NotoriousMMA his team and any of these @ufc suits combined. Do the right thing and pay the man and leave Zubaira out of this! Your organization becomes more of a joke by the day! Do the right thing! https://t.co/0yU36KLgzM

A decision is expected from the NSAC within the next week or so regarding what the size of fine will be to all parties involved.
