Last night Ohara Davies suffered the second defeat in his professional career at the hands of Jack Catterall.
Catteral took the decision unanimously in the end and inflicted what many considered an upset win.
Davies has long been touted as a potential future star but in recent years some of his performances have declined as well as a number of controversial statements outside the ring causing some to criticize him.
Indeed, former world champion Carl Frampton who was commentating for UK broadcaster BT Sport on the fight last night was one of those people:
“I don’t know where Ohara Davies goes from here…”
“He’s lost twice and been in boring fights!” ?♂️@RealCFrampton doesn’t hold back… ? pic.twitter.com/Y9tfaPMzFc

Perhaps a little harsh but at the same time many will agree with Frampton no doubt.
Davies at 26 can certainly come again if he wants to, but it all depends on if he wants to and how much motivation he has to get back to his form of old at this point.
The other loss in his career at this point came to Josh Taylor last year.
