Amir Khan Changes Attitude About Mayweather and Pacquiao

The UK fighter had blasted the pair being linked with a rematch against one another and Adrien Broner being linked with fights against the pair. Khan also branded Mayweather as ducking him for years. However, Khan now appears to have changed his tune.

Following the explosive social media posts yesterday it would seem Khan has had time to sit down and reflect on the situation.

He’s been trying to get a Mayweather and Pacquiao fight for literally years now and on the whole, he seems to think if it will be it will be.

If not, then he doesn’t seem concerned anymore.

Speaking to Fight Hub on fighting Pacquiao or Mayweather, Khan said:

“If it’s not meant to be with one of them it’s not meant to be. I’m not going to force either of them to fight me. If it’s meant to happen it’s meant to happen. I’d love to fight them. I think they are great champions. Mayweather is a great champion. Manny Pacquiao is a great champion. If the fight is meant to happen it will be big but if not there is other opponents. There is the likes of Kell Brook, many fighters in the welterweight division I can fight. Shawn Porter is another one, also the Danny Garcia rematch.”

He added:

“Before I was very mad (that I could not get the Pacquiao or Mayweather fight) but as I get older I don’t cry over spilled milk.”

Likely Khan will take on Kell Brook in early 2019 at this point.
