Former world champion Fernando Vargas has chimed in on the much talked about (apparent) rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

That’s if you’re to believe Floyd, that is.

After announcing that he was returning to boxing to take on Pacquiao for a second time he has since back peddled slightly in that he now wants a warm up fight before the Pacquiao rematch.

Speaking to EsNews, Fernando Vargas only sees it ending in one way again:

“Mayweather’s going to kill him. He’s Money May.”

The fight likely would see Mayweather coming into it as a favorite but he has been out of the ring for quite some time.

His last competitive fight came a long way back.

Pacquiao on the other hand is up to the mark, scored his first stoppage win in nine years earlier this year and appears to have his drive back for boxing as his career comes to an end in 2019 at some point.

It isn’t a surprise that Mayweather now wants a warm up fight.

He knows he can’t just jump right back in there with anyone in the top ten in the welterweight division without shaking off ring rust at his current age (40).
