Does Pacquiao Need Mayweather More Or Is It The Other Way Round?

Floyd Mayweather appears to have been the one instigating the talks that he will rematch Manny Pacquiao but who needs who more?

The rematch does not look like it is happening this year now following Mayweather telling TMZ that he will take a tune up fight before taking on the ‘Pacman’ this December in Tokyo instead.

That leaves the door open for Pacquiao to renew talks with the likes of Amir Khan, Mikey Garcia and Kell Brook.

Reports in recent days have alleged that Mayweather has lost significant money in gambling over the past year or so since his last fight against Conor McGregor.

Whether these are true or not is not confirmed, but, could this be a case of Mayweather needing to return to fight Manny?

He retired with a perfect record of 50-0 after all and is now 40 years of age.

With over a billion dollars in career and business earnings, he hardly needs the money that much, does he?

Manny has been reported to owe the IRS in the US some outstanding tax debt too, so could this whole rematch just simply be a situation of getting a quick cash grab for both men to clear a few debts?

Boxing fans simply don’t know what to believe when it comes to Floyd Mayweather anymore.
