One of the sport’s biggest legends and hardest punchers pound for pound in history has chimed in on the news that Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 is set to happen.

All reports and direct quotes on video from the fighters themselves, and on their social media accounts, tends to point to an imminent announcement for date and venue of the fight happening next up.

More than likely in December.

Speaking to Jeff Mayweather, ‘The Hitman’ said of Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2:

“I have to think about this. I know who will win the fight without a doubt and I think Floyd has got his boxing locked down and he is going to do what he is supposed to do. I see Floyd going out there and maybe get a knockout.”

Mayweather’s last official boxing match came a year ago in Las Vegas when he stopped novice boxer and UFC MMA star Conor McGregor inside the distance.

Pacquiao recently recorded his first stoppage win in over nine years when he stopped Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia earlier this summer.

Mayweather is now 40 and Pacquiao is currently 36 years of age.

Their first fight in May of 2015 ended in a unanimous points decision verdict for Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas.
