Khan Claims Canelo Will Struggle Against GGG Without Clenbuterol and Steroids

Amir Khan has made some explosive allegations today at former opponent Canelo Alvarez following Khan’s fight at the weekend with Samuel Vargas in the UK.

Khan scored a unanimous points decision at the weekend in Birmingham in what was his second comeback fight to the sport after being knocked out by Canelo Alvarez a couple of years ago.

At the time Khan moved up from welterweight to middleweight to face Canelo and was knocked out cold with a huge right hand from the Mexican boxing star in Las Vegas.

Speaking to Boxing Social, Khan said gave his prediction on this weekend’s Golovkin and Canelo rematch:

“In that fight Canelo and GGG, I think GGG in my opinion is going to win the fight, maybe late stoppage. With Canelo being off Clenbuterol, being off the steroids he took, I think mentally it’s going t play a big part and its going to effect him. I’ve got GGG by stoppage.”

The fight this weekend will be live on HBO pay per view in the US and on BT Sport pay per view in the UK.

The first bout a year ago ended in a controversial draw between the two.

The bout takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this weekend.
