What Errol Spence Said To Porter After He Beat Garcia

IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence could very well be in line to next fight new WBC welterweight champion Shawn Porter in a unification.

He called out Porter after his unanimous points win over Danny Garcia last night in New York and given the fact both fight for the same network, are managed by Al Haymon and box under the Premier Boxing Champions banner, it should be an easy fight to make next up.

Speaking after the fight last night Errol Spence said:

“Like I said, I don’t have anything against Shawn or Kenny (father and coach of Shawn) Porter. I grew up with these guys. There are great fighters. Shawn is a great fighter that will fight anybody. He’s old school. He’s just like myself.”

He added:

“I’ve got nothing but respect for Shawn and Kenny. I’ve got nothing respect for their system. I’ve nothing but respect for their father and son relationship. But like I said, I have a dream in one hand too. I want to be undisputed champion. I want to go through those doors and it’s Shawn Porter so I definitely want that fight. I definitely think it can happen. Hopefully it happens sooner or later.”

It seems like this is the most likely scenario for both guys next up on the balance of probabilities.
