Amir Khan found himself on the floor again last night but got up to comeback and win the fight against Samuel Vargas by unanimous points decision.
It was a testament to his heart and resolve to comeback the way he did in truth.
Early on Vargas caught him with a wide open right hand but the bell ensured Khan survived the round and had a minute to recover.
Speaking straight after the fight on the shot, Khan said:
“He caught me with the overhand right, right on the button. It was more of a flash knockdown. I got right back up but what a great shot it was. This is boxing. We’re going to learn from stuff like that. I need to make sure I don’t make those mistakes (again) because I’ll get caught.”
Another exciting Amir Khan fight for the books in the end.
Always danger, always speed, always combinations involved in a Khan fight.
After the bout Khan played down talks of a Kell Brook fight next and instead wanted to get Manny Pacquiao in the ring.
The fight last night against Vargas set a record in British boxing for the most watched fight ever on TV for a non pay per view event.
