Danny Garcia vs Shawn Porter Undercard In Tonight’s Boxing Bouts

Danny Garcia vs Shawn Porter Undercard

Lets take a look at the Danny Garcia vs Shawn Porter undercard in tonight’s boxing bouts live from New York at the Barclays Center live on Showtime Championship Boxing.

While a lot of focus will obviously be on the main event for the WBC welterweight title there’s also a solid undercard backing it up.

There’s two main fights on the undercard that standout in terms of the main television action tonight on Showtime.

First up is the heavyweight bout between American Charles Martin and Poland’s Adam Lownacki.

Many will remember 32-year-old Martin for his brief reign as IBF heavyweight world champion until Anthony Joshua came along and quickly knocked him out to take the title.

Martin has been on a re-building mission since and tonight’s fight with undefeated Lownacki is no foregone conclusion for him.

Fighting a heavyweight who can punch like the Pole can, who doesn’t know how to lose yet, is not to be underestimated.

That said, the feeling in boxing circles is that Martin after bouncing back with two wins since his Joshua defeat, the only loss on his pro record so far, should get the win tonight.

It’s an entertaining fight though and should deliver. At least on paper.

The other main bout tonight on the Danny Garcia vs Shawn Porter undercard involves Yordenis Ugas of Cuba vs Cesar Miguel Barrionuevo of Argentina.

While both might have tasted defeat in their pro careers don’t let that fool you.

They both come into tonight with significant win streaks and should be an interesting bout in the welterweight division.

The main event between Garcia and Porter will follow these two bouts live on Showtime tonight and on BoxNation for those in the UK.

Both fighters made weight at their first attempt yesterday and looked incredibly focused in the final stare down, as both their trainers who are also their fathers looked on intently.

Roll on tonight’s US boxing action.
