New Footage Emerges Of Dressing Room Dispute In GGG vs Canelo 1

GGG vs Canelo 1

GGG vs Canelo 1 is almost a year old as a fight but the controversy in many ways is as fresh in the mind as ever for fight fans.

The decision ultimately went down as a draw with the vast majority believing Golovkin did enough to get the nod.

Add to that, months later Canelo Alvarez testing positive for a banned substance and sat out for six months in a suspension.

Controversy has fueled the story line ahead of the rematch on September 15th.

Just over two weeks to go and this controversy will have an opportunity to be addressed by both men but in the meantime, team Golovkin have released this previously unreleased piece of footage showing a dispute surrounding hand wraps in the first bout:

Hand wrapping is always a bone of contention in fights of this magnitude, as is the selection of gloves.

Don’t be surprised if something similar to the above crops up all of a sudden again in two weeks time in Las Vegas.

Ultimately, though, it’s what happens in the ring that will count and judging by the training of both men ahead of the rematch, they’re both looking to close the show inside the distance.
