Multi-division world boxing champion Mikey Garcia has had some bullish words for two of his rivals in world boxing.
Garcia is still weighing up an offer to join forces with Eddie Hearn and new US streaming platform DAZN as he looks to fight again before the end of 2018.
Garcia has been a hot commodity in the sport these past few months with interest from all sorts of promoters.
A fight with Manny Pacquiao has been tipped for a while but it doesn’t appear to be the fight that Garcia really wants.
Speaking to ESNews, Garcia said:
“I really wanted that fight (Pacquiao) a lot a couple of years ago. Right now there’s other fights that interest me more. Well, I do, I definitely would want that (Manny Pacquiao) fight. I would knock out both of those guys (Manny Pacquiao and Vasyl Lomachenko).”
Strong words there.
Garcia had also been linked with a jump up in two entire weight divisions for his next fight all the way up at welterweight to take on Errol Spence Jr.
Garcia certainly has plenty of options at the moment, as do Pacquiao and Lomachenko to be fair.
