Manny Pacquiao vs Amir Khan – Who Wins?

The fight had been mentioned as a possibility a few years back but only recently talks of a potential showdown have surfaced again. An intriguing clash of styles and blistering speed if it is to happen.

Pacquiao even at 39 showed vicious speed last time out against Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia.

Couple this with the experience he now has, he’s still a very dangerous force in the welterweight division.

Currently ‘Pacman’ is in the market for a new promoter and one name linked to him is Eddie Hearn and new streaming giant DAZN.

If Pacquiao were to sign with Hearn it would make a Khan fight all the easier to make, given the UK fighter is signed with Hearn at the moment.

But who would win if the pair fought?

I feel it’s an even fight at this stage.

Pacquiao is not what he was in his prime years ago and Khan is still shaking off the ring rust from a long layoff from the sport.

Both are still up there for two of the (pound for pound) fastest fighters in boxing. In terms of pure hand speed.

If a fight were to happen you wouldn’t want to blink too many times in case of missing a punch thrown.

Khan being orthodox and Pacquiao southpaw could gel well too.

Also with the two possessing incredible speed of foot to compliment their dynamite fists, this would make this a superb fight for fans.

The two have shared the ring in the past in sparring.

Although sparring is just sparring the following footage was highly compelling and offers an insight into the potential a real fight between the two could offer:

Khan must first come through his next test however against Samuel Vargas next month in the UK.

After that, who knows.

It’s a fight that could make a lot of sense for both guys at this stage of their respective careers.
