WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has been at the center of the boxing universe these past few months because of his link with a super fight. A unification fight of all the belts in the heavyweight division with Anthony Joshua no less. Now though, he appears to have moved on.
And why wouldn’t he?
At least for now.
He’s in negotiations to fight Tyson Fury in November or December and if the fight were to come off and he were to say, knock Fury out in spectacular fashion, that just makes the Joshua fight all the more significant next year.
It would also increase his value in the negotiations with Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn.
Wilder has posted the following picture of toilet roll on Instagram, perhaps indicative of how he feels on the subject of Joshua and Hearn at this point:

Wilder is currently preparing to travel to the UK next week where he will be commentating live for BT Sport on the Tyson Fury vs Francesco Pianeta fight.
Don’t be surprised if Fury wins that Wilder gets in the ring and the fight between the two is officially announced, right there and then.
Well, that’s what I’d do if I was a promoter at least, to get the maximum hype possible.
