Tributes have been pouring in all night for new WBA ‘Regular’ world champion Rocky Fielding following a superb world title win on the road in Germany.
His fellow Liverpool boxing fraternity have made their voices heard online tonight and perhaps none more so than the most famous boxer from the city these days, Tony Bellew.
The heavyweight’s reaction to the title win was perhaps summed up best in the following three emotional tweets:

When you look at the amount of success that boxers from Liverpool have had over the last couple of years between world titles and new prospects coming through onto the scene at the moment, there’s perhaps never been a better time for Liverpool boxing in its history than now.
Callum Smith, Tony Bellew, Rocky Fielding and many others continue to put Liverpool on the map in world boxing at the moment.
