53 Year Old Oliver McCall Sadly Returns To The Ring Tonight

The former world champion has somehow been given a professional boxing license to fight tonight at the astonishing age of 53.

In a sad case of a fighter boxing on too long McCall will box tonight in Corpus Christi against an opponent by the name of Terrell Woods.

In the picture above, it clearly shows McCall in no condition to still be boxing professionally and far too old to be allowed enter a professional boxing ring by anyone at this point.

It will mark his first fight in four years since back to back bouts in Poland but his prime is arguably around twenty years ago at this stage.

At one time McCall beat Lennox Lewis for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world back in 1994 and then went on to defend it against an aged Larry Holmes, before losing the title on points in Frank Bruno’s famous win in Wembley stadium.

A terrific fighter in his day, it is sad to see a 53 year former heavyweight champion still having to box on.

Lets hope both fighters emerge healthy from tonight’s farcical bout and that this proves to be the final bout of McCall’s career.
