Liverpool heavyweight David Price fought with plenty of heart this weekend in an entertaining heavyweight battle with Russian Alexander Povetkin that ultimately went Povetkin’s way by devastating knockout.
Even with that being the case, Price can walk away from the fight with his head held high knowing he left it all on the ring and at one point was within inches of stopping the talented Russian fighter.
Going into the bout not many gave Price a chance, but he showed on more than one occasion he was capable of hurting an elite level heavyweight.
Now that the dust has settled, Price has taken to social media to give his fans the following update:
Hello everyone just letting you know all is ok. I took this fight and understood the risks involved, but if you don’t have a go- you’ll never know. I’m proud I put it all on the line in front of a massive audience and I’d do it all again. Loved every minute

Big respect David Price.
Wherever he goes from here we wish him all the best.
Perhaps he will look to fight on still, as he showed he still has more than enough power to at least hurt top-tier heavyweights. Although his punch resistance might not be what it once was before all these crippling knockout losses over the years, it must be said.
Time will tell.
