Dillian Whyte Only Has One Opponent On His Mind After Knocking Out Browne

Dillian Whyte produced arguably one of the best performances of his professional boxing career this weekend by stopping previously unbeaten Australian heavyweight Lucas Browne in the 6th round.

When the end came it was a brutal one.

A highlight reel knockout after six rounds of one-sided punishment delivered from Englishman Whyte.

After the fight in his post-fight interview, he told fans that there is only one fighter he wants next up:

“Listen Deontay Wilder where you at? June! Where you at Wilder? Lets go! Lets go! Lets go! I’m ready. Lets get it Deontay. No more excuses. Forget Joshua. Joshua isn’t even ready in time. Lets do this. June. Live at the O2. Lets get it. I’m number one baby! Lets go! Lets go! That’s it.”

Wilder was understood to be travelling to next week’s heavyweight unification between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker but is not going to be anymore.

It’s the Joshua fight that Wilder badly wants but all things seem to be pointing to the Whyte fight next up – with the winner then getting the shot at the winner of Joshua vs Parker later in the year.

Wilder vs Whyte would certainly be an explosive match up, if nothing else.
