Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez still look set to fight one another on May 5th pending an investigation by the NSAC. While Golovkin took his time to react to the recent story of Canelo testing positive, he didn’t mince his words when he did.

The fight by all accounts looks likely to still go head but there has been an almost countless amount of memes and jibes from boxing fans online leveled at Canelo since he cited contaminated meat as the reason he failed his recent drugs test.

It is important to remember however that everyone is innocent until proven guilty and if it does in fact prove to be the case, he will rightly be given a pass.

As things stand the two leading middleweight in the world are scheduled to throw down in Las Vegas on May 5th.

The first fight ended in a controversial draw.

No doubt both will look to not leave in the hands of the judges this time, which should make for potentially an even better fight second time round.
