What time is Kovalev fight tonight live on HBO boxing? Lets take a look through what to expect for ring walks and approximate times.
The bout will be broadcast on HBO in the US and the live stream will be available on all devices online for HBO subscribers.
It is expected local time in New York, the main event that is, to get underway at approximately 10.15pm ET – which works out as 7.15pm PT on the West coast.
But make sure to check your local listings and give yourself plenty of time.
The fight will be for the WBO light-heavyweight title that Kovalev holds and will take place at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York.
It will mark the second fight for the now 34-year-old Kovalev since suffering back to back defeats to Andre Ward in 2017 and 2016 respectively.
It will be interesting to see how much he has left, considering the back and forth still going on between him and Ward – despite Ward now being retired.
On the same night elsewhere in New York city Deontay Wilder defends his WBC heavyweight title against Cuban Luis Ortiz at the Barclays Center on rival TV network Showtime.
It will be interesting to see what the ratings figures will be for both events. Obviously Wilder’s fight will pull bigger numbers but how much bigger only time will tell.
