George Groves has now had a chance to sit down and look back at last weekend’s victory over Chris Eubank Jr and has done his first television interview properly since the win.
He sat down today on Sky Sports to talk about the fight in-depth, his injury that he suffered in the fight and what’s up next.
He was very confident that he should make it to June’s final and not have to pull out of the tournament, but has admitted that nothing is confirmed just yet in terms of the damage to his shoulder.
He should know the full results of all scans this week.
Speaking to Sky Sports he sat down and talked all things his career since the win:
Interesting stuff indeed.
Next up in the semi-final of the WBSS will see Callum Smith vs Juergen Braehmer.
Smith is a big favourite in the fight and if it is him vs Groves in the final, what a final it will be.
Two hard-hitting super-middleweights who could offer an explosive bout for the Ali trophy.
Going into the tournament Groves said early on that Smith would be the toughest foe him out of all the contenders in the tournament to begin with.
