In tonight’s boxing results in Vegas a right hand out of hell closed the show tonight in Las Vegas when Danny Garcia hit home against ageing warrior Brandon Rios.
Coming into the bout Rios looked in the best shape he had been in for years but in truth, he was always going to be up against it against the younger, fresher Danny Garcia.
It was Garcia’s first fight since suffering his first defeat of his pro career last year to Keith Thurman and he vanished that memory in emphatic fashion.
It took him nine rounds in the end but when he landed, it closed the show:

A perfect right hand to the jaw was enough to force the referee to wave off proceedings.
It had been a decent fight up until that point however.
Rios surprised many with how he fought in the fight considering he was a heavy underdog going into the bout.
But it was Garcia’s night tonight.
A man who now moves on to potential unification fights once again as he bids to land a rematch with Keith Thurman later this year.
