Chris Eubank Jr gave a brave account of himself in his WBA super-middleweight title challenge against George Groves but ultimately dropped a unanimous points decision in the end.
Eubank Jr’s heart and determination was on show throughout but the fight style and game plan of Groves proved to be spot on in the end.
Going into the bout many felt the Groves jab would be a key punch for the Londoner – and it was.
A long range finder from a wide stance, it controlled distance well for him and left Eubank Jr frustrated in trying to close the distance for large periods in the contest.
Speaking for the first time since the night before, here is what Eubank Jr had to say a short time ago on social media:

Fair play to Eubank, a very level-headed post-fight analysis.
It certainly is not the end for him either. He can come again and return to his natural weight at middleweight and surely challenge for titles again.
He has the physical attributes but perhaps just needs some more technical strings to his bow and with the right schooling, is still a very exciting fighter to keep an eye out for over the years ahead.
