One undefeated fighters in Las Vegas has become the first professional boxer of note to align himself with cryptocurrency ahead of his next fight.

The super-middleweight established a record of 16-0-10KO to date but will face his toughest assignment so far this weekend against the highly experienced ‘Porky’ Medina.

Ahead of the bout Plant has interestingly landed a sponsorship deal with a Cryptocurrency firm called CampusCoin.

Making him the first boxer that this writer knows of at least to associate himself with the new technology.

Speaking on the news Plant said:

“I believe in CampusCoin and their vision on education. With technology moving at a rapid pace, everyone walking the planet must adapt to the ways of the future. CampusCoin provides the education needed to keep up with the times, especially in the world of crypto-currency. I’m happy to be part of the CampusCoin team and together we will build a better future with education being the foundation for our children.”

Interesting stuff indeed.

There is no denying that crypto is here to stay as more and more versions and block chains become more widely used in the world.
