George Groves was as sharp and witty as ever today at the final press conference with Chris Eubank Jr ahead of their fight this weekend.
The bout marks one of the most compelling early world title fights of the early 2018 schedule thus far.
Fans are genuinely split down the middle on the winner.
Both guys are equally confident in victory but in response to what he thinks Eubank Jr will do after he loses to him this weekend, George Groves came up with a particularly core-cutting answer:
“He’ll probably blame his dad and move back down to middleweight.”
Interestingly Eubank senior was not present at today’s press conference.
Usually senior likes to be on the top table alongside of his son to build-up his bouts but not today.
There was no reason given for his absence but Eubank Jr was well able to talk for himself in his absence, to be fair.
All the talk will be over soon enough however and what counts will be upon both men – fight night.
Weigh-ins will take place this coming Friday ahead of Saturday’s WBA World super-middleweight title fight at the Manchester Arena.
