Things got heated in the final press conference today between George Groves and Chris Eubank Jr. Mind games were in full flow between both combatants.

It’s no secret the two have squared off in sparring in the past but that was then and this is now.

However speaking at today’s presser Eubank Jr said he was surprised Groves is so confident going into their fight considering what took place in the spars:

“That’s surprising to hear. You were not levels above me in those sparring sessions. I don’t know where this new-found confidence comes from. The talking has been said and done now. Levels, preparations and weight it’s all really irrelevant. Now we just have to get in there and perform and put everything on the line. I’m willing to do that. I don’t think George is. I don’t think he’s fully committed to this fight. I don’t think he’s willing to give everything to win. I am. There’s nothing that George can do to stop me.”

The fight takes place this Saturday at the Manchester Arena live on ITV Box Office.
