Fight week is well and truly upon us ahead of a massive bout this weekend in Manchester between George Groves and Chris Eubank Jr.
Consensus seems to be that it should be a 50-50 battle, with many people finding it difficult to call ahead of time.
Both guys come into the bout in traffic form.
Both coming off the back of big stoppage wins last time out.
Groves is the champion and bigger man of the two, with Eubank having the perceived speed, chin and gas tank advantage.
So many questions loom however. One, does Eubank have the power at super-middleweight to take Groves out with on shot?
Also, does he have the boxing ability to get into to range of the longer Groves to land his combinations?
The fight takes place in Manchester this Saturday and one famed fighting Mancunian, former world champion Anthony Crolla – is looking forward to it.
Speaking to the Daily Star in the UK, Crolla said:
“I just think, can Groves keep him off for the whole fight? And that makes me lean towards Eubank to win in the second half of the fight.”
He added:
“It’s such a tough fight to call, I might change my mind a few times before the fight but I think Eubank Jr I’m just going with.”
Perhaps Crolla’s words speak for a lot of people really.
He knows like most fight fans that this one could go either way – depending on what version of each fighter turns up on the night.
