KSI had his first experience in a boxing ring this weekend which went out to a massive audience online on both YouTube and Facebook.
Although the event went largely under the radar in hardcore boxing circles, casual sports fans lapped it up due to the mammoth star in the UK of KSI.
He’s looking to strike while the iron is hot now in terms of his pugilistic exploits landing another freak show for him. People love a good freak show these days, no doubt about it.
Ex-international soccer player Rio Ferdinand is currently training for his own pro debut in the sport of boxing and actually has enlisted the help of very credible boxing people to help him – such as former world champion Richie Woodhall who’s part of the training team.
KSI has spotted an opportunity to take advantage of this and has called out the former Man United player. Speaking after his win this weekend, KSI said:
“Where’s Rio? Where’s Rio Ferdinand? I know he’s doing his Betfair thing.. if you want some bro, I’m ready.”
Ferdinand’s boxing venture is being sponsored by gambling company Betfair but no opponent has been confirmed yet, or professional boxing license for that matter.
Ferdinand is currently basing his training in Dubai and is understood to be taking things deadly serious, to his credit.
