Floyd Mayweather Senior Turns Himself In Following Brush With The Law

Floyd Mayweather senior has allegedly landed himself in a spot of bother in an incident that took place in Las Vegas last year.

The world-famous boxing trainer and son of Floyd Mayweather Jr according to TMZ Sports was alleged to have been involved in an altercation in 2017 following a boxing match that took place in Las Vegas, where a woman decided to press charges against him after an alleged scuffle following the Gennady Golovkin vs Canelo Alvarez fight that took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas last September.

It is understood that Mayweather’s senior’s legal representation have already plead not guilty to the charge, with Mayweather senior due back in court this coming March.

It is not quite clear what exactly happened but according to reports, the woman alleges that Mayweather senior assaulted her in a car following a heated exchange between the two.

Mayweather senior is best known for training his son at the beginning and end of his boxing career, with their final fight in the ring together coming back in August in Mayweather Jr’s 50th pro fight and win of his career against Irishman Conor McGregor.

Mayweather senior resides in Las Vegas, Nevada and currently trains a number of other fighters but it is thought that his career in training might be winding down at this stage following his son retiring from the sport last year.
