Anthony Joshua is training ferociously and has a message for his next foe in the ring today that won’t particularly inspire confidence in his next opponent or his team.
If team Parker thought they had got underneath the skin of Anthony Joshua they may have to think again.
Early training footage from Joshua so far shows him already fairly ripped and ready to go, as well as punching accurately with speed and power.
Joshua did some travelling after his last fight against Carlos Takam but the camp for the fight and the one for Klitschko last April seem to be developing him as a fighter quite well at the moment.
Speaking ahead of his latest training camp for Parker Joshua told ESPN that:
“Last week we did 20 rounds in the gym which I wasn’t even doing for the Klitschko fight, and what have we got?”
He added:
“We’re still 11 weeks to the fight. We’re steps ahead. Obviously, it’s down to performance and occasion, but in terms of steps to where we are, to replicate the Klitschko and Takam fights, we are leaps and bounds ahead.”
Well if he’s anything like he was against Klitschko it could be a tough night for Parker.
Although Klitschko put Joshua on the floor during the fight and did drain his gas tank for a number of rounds, Joshua showed massive heart to get up off the floor and ultimately stop Klitschko inside the distance.
Joshua and Parker will collide in the ring on March 31st.
