Video Allegedly Shows Racism Against Deontay Wilder’s Family

A video has surfaced from the WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder that allegedly shows the racial profiling of Wilder’s wife and brother at a shopping store.

Wilder recently defeated Bermane Stiverne in conclusive fashion in their rematch late last year and is thought to be fighting Cuban heavyweight Luis Ortiz next up this year.

However controversy has appeared to follow Wilder again outside the ring. He posted this message on Instagram making the following allegation:

“I’m beyond disgusted how my woman @telliswift and my Brother @murdockhd was treated in @dolcegabbana @beverlycenter on New Years Eve. Racial profiling needs to stop. She’s 8 and a half months pregnant !! This is unacceptable!! @stefanogabbana#racism #dolceandgabbana”

Wilder then posted the video of what happened which has been picked up by the guys at Fight Hype YouTube (hat tip):

From a boxing perspective, it is hoped by Wilder that 2018 will be finally his year where he gets the big, unification bouts that seemed to have eluded him for so long.

With Anthony Joshua and WBO champion Joseph Parker expected to fight this coming April or May, a shot at the winner later in the year could make logical sense for all concerned providing Wilder stays winning himself.

It was understood that Wilder and his team wanted a potential showdown with Anthony Joshua to take place in the US but a new school of thought seems to exist that the fight could potentially be much bigger in a stadium in the UK, alternatively.

Joshua has sold out two huge stadiums back to back in his previous two bouts against Carlos Takam in Cardiff, Wales and the other last April against Wladimir Klitschko in Wembley Stadium.
