Watch: Spike O Sullivan Brutal TKO Combination To Cap Memorable Year

This Spike O Sullivan brutal TKO ensured the Irishman’s world title plans for 2018 remain well and truly on course.

It proved to be a memorable night in Canada for the Irishman who continued a remarkable 2017 fighting abroad with another sensational performance.

O’Sullivan dropped and stopped Antoine Douglas in the 7th round of their contest in an entertaining battle that saw both men entertain the fans with success early on.

Douglas got off to a fast start with a solid jab and some excellent work to the body of O’Sullivan.

But as the bout continued the Irishman battled his way back into it and started to slow Douglas down – mainly through the use of ferocious left hooks and strong right hands whilst carrying a high guard.

Following the bout O’Sullivan revealed that:

“I was sick for 2 weeks with a chest infection, so I was not at 100 percent.”

Given that preparations did not go to plan this win will have looked even more impressive given the amount the Irishman needed to dig deep inside of himself to get it.

It is understood that overall his conditioning has improved this year as a result of new training techniques including occasional Yoga, which he believes has helped him significantly in the later part of his career.
