A recent Wlaidimir Klitschko ring robe auction in aid of charity has had some exceptional results.
Wladimir Klitschko, ever he fine ambassador for the sport of boxing both inside and outside the ring, has done the sport proud once again.
Retired Klitschko last boxed in April in an epic battle with Anthony Joshua for the heavyweight championship of the world in front of a remarkable 90,000 spectators at Wembley stadium in London.
He lost on the night and retired a few months after, but has not forgotten about the significance of the event and the power it still holds in order for him to use it to do good.
And do good he’s done.
The Wladimir Klitschko ring robe worn that night in the bout was put up for auction by the former champion in aid of helping underprivileged children and it has already fetched a staggering $150,000 which works out at a little over $200,000.
Fair play Wladimir Klitschko. A class act.
The 41-year-old retired boxer is involved in a number of post-fight careers from business ventures to public speaking – which no doubt he will continue to be a success in.
During his career he became the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world for almost a decade at the pinnacle of his pro tenure.
