Boxer Amir Khan earning an eye watering sum that has broke the record for on “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!”.
Amir Khan’s adventure in the jungle is well underway at the moment and he’s become one of the main stars of the show so far this year – with the different challenges he has attempted to date.
Originally it was thought that Khan was demanding a quarter of a million pound fee to appear, which was considerably more than the other celebrities on the show anyway, but now it turns out it is much more.
The Sun have reported that Khan for appearing on the show has bagged a whopping £400,000 as an appearance fee, without taking a single punch like his usual boxing purses would entail.
Granted, it’s not as much as a boxing purse but even still, it’s a lot of money to appear on a TV show that will likely get his name out there even more.
Other former fighters that have appeared on the show include David Haye, Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Jr, all well known in the boxing world.
It is understood that Khan has set the new record for a fee that the show had to pay out, which was previously held by model Katie Price.
