A presser about Anthony Joshua without him even being there was held by WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker and his team.
WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker and his team hosted a press conference this week to address on going negotiations at present with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Purse splits and percentages were the main topic of discussion. They felt that the low ball offer from Joshua’s team was disrespectful to date.
They also went on to list all the names in the amateurs and pro ranks who have dropped Anthony Joshua in his career to date.
While even showing footage of Joshua being dropped at one points during the presser.
Parker’s team have a provisional agreement with Australian boxer Lucas Browne in the meantime with the Joshua fight being eyed for later in 2018.
Parker, his trainer and his promoter took to stage to explain where everything is with Joshua, his promoter Eddie Hearn and everything else in between.
Fight fans have been reacting in their droves to what they saw:
@EddieHearn give @joeboxerparker whats he’s asking and @anthonyfjoshua can make light work of him then massive fight with @TheBronzeBomber

Cool. I’m sure what’ll get you that extra 10% is a botched press conference where you try to humiliate the opponent who holds almost all the cards #AmateurHour

Embarrassing stuff and if anything it diminishes his value….complete amateur promotion…even the most ardent Joshua hater would be hard pressed to take satisfaction in this ?
